One of our local towns is hosting it’s first ever Hippo Hunt. Fifty hippos have been decorated by local artists, school children and charities in a bid not only to raise the profile of North Walsham but also to bring in much-needed cash for several very worthy causes. Forget the nukes in Pyongyang. The real story this week, according to the North Korea News Agency, was the Souvenir Picture Which Was Not Taken … The story about the souvenir picture which was not taken will go down long to the posterity as a legend of the leader’s love for the KPA soldiers along with Mt. Kuwol, a famous mountain of the people.

Yes, we’re all drama queens here. At the moment four of us are involved in getting the Aldborough Players summer production, Arsenic and Old Lace, knocked into shape before the performances in the middle of June. Claire our designer is actually on stage, Alison is beavering away with the costumes and Toni is making a ‘dead body’ while I’ve adapted the script and am trying my hand at directing. Of course this is only when we’re not busy working!
