The hippos are here… all 50 of them… no, wait, 51….
One of our local towns is hosting it’s first ever Hippo Hunt. Fifty hippos have been decorated by local artists, school children and charities in a bid not only to raise the profile of North Walsham but also to bring in much-needed cash for several very worthy causes. The good weather and the Whitsun school holidays have seen the town bustling with old and young trying to locate all 50 hippos. One holidaymaker claimed they managed to find 51…
The hippos are hiding in various locations around the town, maps and information can be found on the Hippo Hunt website. The week culminates in an auction of all the hippos outside the Divine Restaurant in the Town. 25% of all money raised is also being given to the Born Free Foundation.
