There’s been a big rise in demand for blue tableware, according to Parsley in Time, but only if it’s distinctly muted. Grey- and green-blues are also on trend, with names like seafoam and topaz.
“To be fair, all sorts of muted colours are trending, but demand for blue is biggest,” says Rob Blunderfield, marketing manager at Parsley in Time, which specializes in out of the ordinary tableware. “However, it shouldn’t be an obvious blue, to be in vogue it needs to be a bit vague… more ‘bluish’ than true blue.” (more…)

If it’s skewwhiff and the colour is dialled way back, the chances are it’ll be coming to a table top nearby soon. The latest crockery trends are all about muted hues and asymmetrical designs, says tableware specialist Parsley in Time.

On the business side, it was all about buoyancy: every exhibitor reported good sales, several said they had enjoyed record growth in recent months.
