Refrigeration that Recycles the Curtain: Williams launches a sustainable merchandiser

New ‘air curtain’ system improves energy efficiency; plus advanced temperature controls and ‘display-maximising’ design Williams has launched a Sandwich Chiller as part of its Gem range for the Grab and Go sector.  The open-fronted, self-service cabinet features an innovative new ‘air curtain’ system, developed by Williams, which recycles the cold air that is normally wasted in conventional designs.  This, combined with several other energy-saving features, makes the Gem Sandwich Chiller the most sustainable on the market, the company says.

Greener Refrigeration: Williams Achieves ‘Zero to Landfill’

Norfolk manufacturer realises ‘Greenlogic’ objectives Kings Lynn-based Williams Refrigeration believes it has set new standards in greener manufacturing for the catering industry with the realisation of no less than seven environmental objectives.  They include a 44% reduction in packaging, a 37% reduction in energy consumption and a 30% reduction in waste produced – the latter of which has resulted in the company achieving ‘zero to landfill’ status.  All of this has been accomplished in just three years.
