London Calling coffee is infused with the spirit of punk and London
Drawing inspiration from the energy of London and the attitude of the original punk scene, London Calling has launched a range of boutique coffee blends to stimulate the connoisseur’s taste buds.
The popularity of coffee has exploded in recent years, and today’s customers have come to expect high standards of taste from their drink. London Calling has sourced the best beans from around the world to create a selection of both blended coffees and expertly roasted single-source beans. Currently there are five blends. According to Joe Bedford-Stockwell, sales and marketing manager for London Calling, “They’re packed with enough flavour to satisfy the most demanding coffee lovers and leave them buzzing with pleasure.”
Caffeine Limited’s no-nonsense service package for Gaggia, Conti and Schaerer aims to get those machines pumping coffee, ASAP
Coffee machine specialist Caffeine Limited offers a service package that promises to deliver a top quality, practical, planned preventative maintenance contract backed by emergency call-out with the highest possible first time fix rate. It’s available on all Gaggia, Conti and Schaerer coffee machines, plus a selection of other brands.
A coffee machine is fast becoming a back bar essential as customers are increasingly looking for good quality and variety when it comes to on-trade coffee.
Customers judge a pub or bar by the drinks it serves. They know exactly what good coffee should taste like, so it’s up to venues to supply this or risk being marked down for their poor service and losing their customers to the high street. (more…)
Best Foam, perfect finish: lattes, flat whites, cappuccinos… you name it, Caffeine makes it
The Restaurant Show, Stand GE49, Olympia, London, 3rd-5th October.
At this year’s Restaurant Show, coffee machine specialist Caffeine Limited will be exhibiting on stand GE49 and previewing two brand new Schaerer products, the Coffee Soul and the Schaerer Barista. Both models are scheduled for release in Spring 2017. Caffeine will also be showing the very latest version of Schaerer ‘Best Foam’ bean-to-cup coffee machine technology. (more…)
Caffeine Limited now offering real-time telemetry on all Schaerer machines
Caffeine Limited can now offer Schaerer’s newly developed M2M Coffee Link real-time telemetry system across its full range of advanced bean-to-cup coffee machines. The system can collect and communicate detailed information, right down to individual drinks made, and has a comprehensive range of options for controlling operation and service processes.
Using newly designed software optimised to meet the requirements of commercial coffee machine owners, encrypted data is sent to a secure web portal that can be accessed via desktop or tablet. It is also fully compatible with a range of enterprise resource planning systems allowing it to be used in any size of business, from single-location coffee shops to multiple chains. A full range of custom OEM solutions is also possible.
Caffeine’s advanced milk system delivers the perfect serve, hot or cold.
As coffee increases in popularity and customers become more and more discerning, there is a greater demand for a variety of good quality espresso-based drinks. The latest Schaerer bean-to-cup machine from Caffeine Limited features an advance milk system, designed so that operators can produce perfectly textured bespoke coffee foams, at the touch of a button and without needing to be a trained barista.
According to Caffeine Limited, the new ‘Best Foam’ system actually foams the milk better than a barista.
Company ramps up its commitment to providing “benchmark” for customer service
Caffeine Limited welcomes two new additions to its team with the appointment of Tim Westmacott, joining the company as service manager, and Dave Short, who becomes senior engineer.
Tim has 26 years experience in the coffee industry, covering a wide variety of roles from field service engineer, operations director and five years as account manager/director. Twenty years ago he worked with Caffeine Limited’s managing director Justin Stockwell at Chevron Limited.
“We have a fantastic opportunity to deliver excellent customer service within the espresso coffee market, where most are currently failing,” says Tim. “The premium coffee market has been growing rapidly for some years now and it shows no signs of slowing in the foreseeable future. I think we can build an equipment and service solution to compete with the very best.”
‘Best Foam’ technology delivers innovation in coffee
Stand C68 D67, Hall 15, Host 2015, Fieramilano, Italy
Schaerer is showing its latest bean-to-cup espresso technology at Host in Milan, including prototypes of upcoming models.
“In terms of coffee menus, milk foam is where it’s at when it comes to innovation,” says Justin Stockwell, managing director of Caffeine Limited, which markets Schaerer machines in the UK. “Visitors will want to check out Schaerer’s latest bean-to-cup machines, which use ‘Best Foam’ technology to foam milk better than a barista.” This is because it precisely controls the process and creates the exact type of foam required for specific drinks – a system called ‘micro bubble technology’. So the foam for one drink can be stiffer or creamier than for another – at the touch of a button. “And it’s not just for hot drinks – the foams can be adjusted for cold ones, too,” says Justin.
Caffeine launches flavours bolt-on to top of the range bean-to-cup espresso system
One issue with bean-to-cup machines is that while the best ones can produce a great coffee, their menus can be restricted. Now coffee machine specialist Caffeine Limited has launched a bolt-on to its top of the range Coffee Art Plus system that allows the unit to make not just a full range of espresso-based beverages but also flavoured coffees, with a choice of four different flavours, all at the touch of a button.
Coffee specialist’s expansion puts emphasis on customer support
Ben Cohen has joined Caffeine Limited as sales manager. The appointment comes at a time of rapid expansion for the company – as well as distributing Schaerer and Gaggia equipment, the company is about to launch its own range of roasted coffees.
Ben brings plenty of experience to the table – mainly from having worked as an operator. He was general manager with Loch Fyne restaurants and owned a small chain of restaurants himself. He’s also worked in hospitality recruitment. “Ben has a huge passion for the industry and, having been there, he totally understands the operator’s point of view,” says Justin Stockwell, managing director of Caffeine Limited. “We’re all about making a difference to our customers – Ben’s knowledge is enhancing our ability to deliver that difference.” (more…)
