Falcon’s new Head of National Accounts

Kevin Veitch puts focus on customer back-up, service and support

Falcon Foodservice Equipment has appointed Kevin Veitch as Head of National Accounts.  His remit is to strengthen the company’s position as the UK’s leading manufacturer of prime cooking equipment within the leading foodservice operators.

Veitch is a hugely experienced and well-known catering equipment professional.  He’s been with Falcon for nearly ten years, most recently as Business Development Manager, having joined the company after several years working in the foodservice industry.

“Kevin’s track record in growing and retaining business is exceptional,” says Lawrence Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director at Falcon.  “I’m delighted that he’s taken on this new and very important role.”

Kevin says that his success is down to listening to the customer. “It’s absolutely the key,” he says. “Listen to what they say, and give them what they want. Eight years ago one of our National Account customers had a big drive to reduce their carbon footprint, so we suggested our induction products would fit their requirements. They trialled the equipment in a couple of sites, found it was exactly what they were looking for and still install Falcon induction in their new openings to this day.

“Customer back-up, service and support after the equipment is installed is vitally important, too,” he adds. “After nearly ten years, relationships are continually being built upon with customers whom I first met when I joined Falcon.”

Falcon’s innovation in product development is another key reason for the company’s success, he adds. “A great example of this is that three out of the five brand new products we launched this June look about to be taken up by three major UK chains.

“I’m looking forward to further developing the Falcon business with our important National Account companies, as well as introducing new customers to Falcon and the benefits we can clearly offer to their kitchens. Despite the current economic uncertainty companies are still investing in new restaurants, new concepts and new equipment and we are on hand to provide our expertise and range of catering solutions to all.”
