New management structure will help ensure continuing success
HTG Trading, which owns Hubbard Systems and Taylor UK, has announced major changes to its senior management structure. Simon Aspin, currently commercial director of Hubbard, will become managing director of HTG from January 1st 2018. At the same time Taylor’s commercial director, Pete Gray, becomes managing director of Taylor. Meanwhile Martin Wood will step down from his role as chief executive of HTG Trading to become non-executive chair of the company.

Hubbard Systems is offering no-obligation site surveys to help operators decide which kind of ice machine best suits their needs.
Recent years have seen a proliferation of the types of ice available, with each having specific applications. For example the gourmet supercube is a pure and slow-melting ice ideal for classic on-the-rocks drinks, while places with high peaks in demand may find dice cubes more suitable. Flake ice has a wide range of applications, from cocktails to food display. Nugget ice is increasingly popular in the US and is making in-roads here, too. (more…)

The Scotsman MC46-Split from Hubbard Systems offers big ice production in a small footprint, by taking the compressor & condenser away from the ice-making unit. Hubbard Systems relocates to a new site in Great Blackenham
Hubbard Systems, the UK distributor of Scotsman ice machines, has moved from its original location in Otley, Suffolk, to the nearby Claydon Business Park, Great Blackenham. The new building is situated five miles north of Ipswich, only a mile from the A14, giving fast access to major trunk routes.

Hubbard Ice Systems launches machines making ultra-cool, extra large ice
The supercube or thimble is recognised as the gourmet ice cube for drinks service in terms of cooling, slow melting and crystal clear appearance. Typically machines make supercubes in a small (8g) or standard (20g) size. A few are available to make large, 39g cubes. But these days some operators are looking for more. Something designer, something that makes a big, bold statement. Now Hubbard Ice Systems, which markets the Scotsman range in the UK, has launched the ‘super-supercuber’ ice machine. It makes giant ‘XL’ cubes, weighing 60g, which look stunning in the glass.
New owners plan to develop market-leading ice and ice cream equipment specialists
HTG Trading Ltd, the company that owns Hubbard Ice Systems and Taylor UK, has been bought by two former Enodis and Scotsman Industries directors, Dave McCulloch and Dave Wrench. HTG Trading, based in Otley, Suffolk, was previously owned by a venture capital consortium. Hubbard Ice Systems is the UK distributor of Scotsman ice machines.
