New tablets protect machine and deliver best in class hygiene
Winterhalter is putting free samples of its new machine cleaning tablet, called A 15 MC, into all UC undercounter machines it sells. The new tablets have been specially developed to get rid of mineral deposits and to ensure the machine is as hygienically clean as possible.

Catering equipment supplier speaks at Carbon Trust’s ‘Standard Bearer’ Conference
Winterhalter talked about its experiences with carbon footprinting at a workshop held by The Carbon Trust as part of its recent Standard Bearers’ Conference, held on 12 October 2016 at 30 Euston Square, London. The Conference attracted big names including Lego, McDonald’s and GlaxoSmithKline.
“Many of the delegates were looking at the science behind our carbon footprinting,” says Winterhalter marketing manager Paul Crowley, who made the workshop presentation jointly with Dominic Burbridge of The Carbon Trust. “The Trust required a huge range of elements to be factored in before they could create a carbon footprint for each Winterhalter warewasher model – most of the questions from the floor focused on how those elements came together to create the footprint figure.” (more…)

After a marathon negotiation session, the judges of the 2016 KP of the Year have narrowed down this year’s entries to a shortlist of ten. One of them will win top glory and £10,000-worth of prizes.“But all of them deserve enormous congratulation – every one of them inspires their brigade with their dedication and work ethic,” says Stephen Kinkead, managing director of Winterhalter UK, the company behind the awards.
Sara Jayne Stanes, chief executive of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, was one of the judges. “For the fourth year running we’ve had the most phenomenal number of entries,” she says. “I’m more and more impressed with every entry I read – it’s really difficult to make a choice even for the top thirty, let alone the actual winner.”
