Hot stuff: streamlining the buffet display

New Sirman Induction Buffet Plate launched by FEM

A no-fuss, no-mess, space-saving alternative to bulky bain-maries or chafing dishes for heated buffet serving is the Sirman Induction Buffet Plate, now available from FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing). This low-profile, modern-looking unit is perfect for maintaining the temperature of trays or casseroles of food without using cumbersome water baths, streamlining the buffet table for both staff and diners.

It’s so easy to use. All staff need to do is load up trays or induction-compatible dishes and place them on the buffet plate. There is no need to heat the unit up and it’s suitable for all iron, cast iron, stainless steel and enamelware. If the pan’s material or size are not suitable then the pan indicator will not light up.

A high visibility LED display shows the status of the unit and a practical IP67 touch control display gives control of temperature and power. Cleaning is simple – just wipe the plate clean at the end of service.

As the buffet plate uses induction it is extremely energy efficient. A high-frequency induction coil located under the ceramic surface heats the inside of the cooking pan by magnetic friction. The heat is produced directly inside the pan. Once the pan is removed the buffet plate is no longer in heating mode.

Measuring 460mm wide x 332mm deep and 61mm high the Sirman induction warmer can be positioned wherever needed – the only requirement being a standard electrical socket. It is supplied with a one-year back-to-base parts and labour warranty.
