FEM and Manitowoc Ice: it’s business as usual

FEM continues as the master distributor of the Manitowoc Ice brand, through ownership changes.

As of 28th July, Manitowoc Ice is no longer part of Welbilt and will officially be taken over by Pentair.  However, for customers and dealers in the UK and Ireland, it’s business as usual, since FEM will continue to be the master distributor of the Manitowoc Ice range of ice machines and accessories.

“Customers shouldn’t notice any difference at all,” says Mark Hogan, commercial director of FEM. “We are working closely with Manitowoc Ice to continue to supply ice machines to the UK market.”

In fact, FEM has been working with Manitowoc for over 25 years and has a wealth of expertise that ensures customers get the best possible after-sales support.

Manitowoc Ice is an industry leader for food safety and environmental stewardship in ice manufacturing.  It was one of the first companies to produce automated cleaning systems for ice machines and touch screen displays and now offers the largest range of Energy Star-rated ice machines in the market.

FEM continues to offer Manitowoc’s comprehensive selection of models, from compact undercounter machines to high-volume ice production systems.  The latest range is the award-winning Indigo NXT ice machine, which uses energy-efficient rotary compressors and environmentally friendly refrigerants.

As well as a wide choice of model sizes, FEM offers a variety of different ice types, including nugget, gourmet, dice and flake ice.  Recently the company launched Manitowoc’s Countertop Nugget Icemaker and Dispenser, which makes up to 88kg of ice per day, is compact, convenient and a breeze to use.  The dispenser is ideal for both self-serve and staff-serve, and can easily be positioned in even the tightest of spaces.

FEM backs all Manitowoc Ice models with a comprehensive customer support package including manufacturer warranty and a nationwide network of service engineers.
