Better staff communication, better customer service

Call Systems Technology launches the Motorola CLP mini two-way radio for catering and dining environments

Call Systems Technology is launching the Motorola CLP PMR446 lightweight and compact two-way radio. Designed to be worn discreetly by catering staff, it enables reliable and high quality communication even in noisy restaurant environments. It delivers all the instant communication advantages of traditional two way radio, without the bulk, weight and noise.

The CLP unobtrusively keeps front of house, bar and kitchen staff in communication with each other and with restaurant management. It makes teamwork easier and helps restaurants improve their productivity and customer satisfaction.

The CLP’s exceptionally low weight and small size means staff members are happy to wear it. An antenna and tiny microphone within the earpiece wire make hands-free operation easy. Users may clip the CLP to lapels, pockets or waistbands, or fix to a belt via the special holster, so that they can serve food and show customers to their seats unencumbered.

“Customers today are more discerning than ever. Whether eating in a town centre restaurant or a rural gastropub, they want great service along with their meals,” says David Barrett, sales manager for CST. “This new compact radio is discreet to wear and really easy to use. A push-to-talk button and easy answer, via an earpiece, helps staff quickly tell each other when customers want attention and speeds up service.”

Visual status information and voice-assisted operation informs users of the radio’s status. Rechargeable batteries provide up to 14 hours of talk and listen time, which is ample for long shifts. Charging is via space-saving single-unit chargers or desk- or wall-mounted multi-unit chargers that can hold up to six units simultaneously.
