LACA 2011: Simple to use, fast, energy-saving dishwasher from Winterhalter

For example, the Energy+ incorporates heat exchangers that reuse the dishwasher’s waste heat, normally lost in water vapour and wastewater, to heat the incoming fresh water supply.  Their new rinse system means the machines consume less water, less energy and less chemicals.  Meanwhile the ultra-efficient filtration system extends the life of the washwater, which again cuts water, detergent and energy consumption.

The Energy+ system reduces the total connected load of the GS500 dishwasher by up to 6 kW.

Alton Castle residential activity centre for children aged 9 and 13 recently installed a GS515, the largest model in the GS500 range.  A major benefit for them was that this multi-purpose washer not only washes crockery but utensils, pots and pans too.  “This means time is saved when washing lightly soiled items,” says Claire Sutcliffe, head chef and catering manager. “Plus the overall quality of the washing is much better.”

It’s very straightforward to operate, so much so that even visiting groups who are self-catering can operate it.  “That’s why the machine had to be easy to use,” says centre manager Iain Gordon. “The controls on the machine are so simple that we haven’t had any problems.”
