New Chemical Range Takes On The Lipstick Challenge!

Winterhalter launches a new range of warewash chemicals at Hotelympia 2010. The new products have been specially formulated to give the very best results – and are guaranteed to pass ‘the lipstick challenge’. To prove the point, the company will set up an on-stand laboratory demonstrating how to get the best results by using the ideal combination of machine, water treatment and chemicals.

Lipstick is notoriously difficult to get off glasses. In the lab, technicians will show how the right dosing of chemicals makes all the difference. Other lab tests and demonstrations include:

  • Streaking and white marks – how to eliminate them
  • Branded glassware – how to protect it
  • Tea and coffee stains – how to get rid of them
  • Starch residues – how to avoid them
  • Perfect results, every time – how to guarantee them

Full details of the new chemicals will be unveiled at the Show.

UC Series Wins Equipment Excellence Award

Winterhalter’s new UC Series has won the 2010 Equipment & Supplies Excellence Award for warewashing. Organised by Caterer & Hotelkeeper, the awards recognise innovation and enterprise, with judges looking for “evidence of fresh thinking, significant advances in design and innovative application of technology.”

If ever a piece of kit was designed to be ‘the right tool for the job’ then Winterhalter’s UC Series is it. The company set out to discover exactly what caterers wanted in undercounter warewashers, through research and the www.my-dream-machine.biz website (where caterers listed their ‘dream-machine’ wish list). Once Winterhalter had the answers, they built the ‘dream-machine’.

Four key areas caterers highlighted were ease of operation, quality results, ease of maintenance, and low running costs. Winterhalter developed new technologies to meet these demands: the UC Series sets the standards in all four areas.

The range also offers a new level in versatility, since each machine can be reprogrammed, after purchase, so that if the site’s requirements change, the UC can change with them. Thus a glasswasher can be reprogrammed for dishwashing and so on.

Winterhalter provides a total solution for warewashing, from pre-sales advice to after-sales service, training and maintenance. Alongside its market-leading dish and glasswashers, the company’s range includes utensil washers, advanced water treatment machines, cleaning chemicals and detergents.
