One apple = five a day

Here in the office we’re all trying to ditch a few pounds before the office Christmas party, so our desks look a bit like the contents of a fruit bowl.

When Granny showed me the giant apples she purchased from the local market I couldn’t resist bringing one in to flaunt in front of the dieters.  Weighing 1lb, 3oz the apple doesn’t beat the record for the largest (4lb 1oz found in Hirosaki City, Japan) but is certainly the biggest apple we’ve ever seen.
