FEM launches latest undercounter icemaker – with integrated water filtration
Manitowoc Ice’s NEO is the latest range of undercounter icemakers from FEM. As well as offering improvements in sustainability, running costs and ice cube purity, the new icemakers have integrated water filtration and are easy to install, providing ice right where it’s needed.
The integrated filtration heightens the purity of the water, producing clearer, cleaner cubes that enhance the look and taste of the drink. The filtration system also reduces scale build up, keeping the machine running at peak efficiency and protecting the system, thus extending service intervals.
NEO icemakers use R290, an eco-friendly refrigerant, and feature next-generation cooling technology, enhancing the machines’ sustainability while reducing energy and water consumption, thus minimising running costs. Their clear status and service alert indicators let staff see instantly how the machine is operating and if there are any issues.
The new models feature attractive, classically simple exterior designs, making them ideal for front of house. Internally, their sleek, easy-access layout simplifies cleaning and maintenance.
There are three models in the range, offering production capacities from 60kg to 135kg of ice per day. Their integral ice storage bins can hold between 40kg and 54kg of ice ready for easy to reach use right, when its needed. All three models are compact units, 724mm deep and 826mm high, with the smallest measuring 660mm wide and the largest 762mm. Each can be specified to produce regular, dice or half dice cubes – dice or half dice models are available as standard.
NEO icemakers come with a five-year warranty on parts for both the evaporator and the compressor, with a five-year labour warranty on the evaporator and three years on the compressor. All other components have three years parts and labour warranties.
