FEM introduces Vollrath’s 2/4 long countertop warmer for space strapped serving counters
When counter space is limited but keeping food at the perfect serving temperature is non-negotiable, the new Vollrath 2/4 Long Countertop Warmer, now available from FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing) has it covered. It packs all of the convenience and versatility of larger warmers into half the size – saving on space without compromising on quality. Designed with efficiency, safety, and versatility in mind, this slimline warmer is ideal for busy kitchens, buffets, and catering setups where every inch counts.
The warmer’s compact, slim design fits into even the tightest spaces, and can be placed virtually anywhere thanks to its 6-foot cord. The warmer accommodates several pan sizes including 2/4, 1/4 and 1/6 pans up to 150mm deep, allowing operators to hold multiple menu items at once. Its stainless steel well is not only easy to clean but also keeps food at optimal temperature for freshness and food safety throughout the serving period. Its non-skid rubber feet provide extra stability on counters.
Adjustable thermostatic control provides consistent temperature and maximises power efficiency. Its front access dial for temperature adjustment gives precise control, with ten heat settings ranging from 40°C to 200°C for gentle warming through to holding hot foods at serving temperature. There is also an illuminated ON/OFF switch for easy visibility and a low-water indicator light prompts staff to top up levels to ensure optimal performance.
Practical and cost-effective to run, the warmer operates at just 0.5kW, making it highly energy efficient. Designed for ease of installation, it plugs into a standard 13-amp socket, so it’s ready to go without the need for specialist wiring. Overall unit dimensions are 192mm wide x 559mm deep x 237mm high. It is supplied with a 2 year back to base warranty.
