Bridge for Heroes describes Williams freezer as ‘a godsend’
The Bridge for Heroes is a King’s Lynn based charity providing help to serving HM Armed Forces personnel, veterans and their families. The charity offers a wide range of free support, through its single point of access, one stop drop-in facility in South Clough Lane, King’s Lynn.
Recently the charity began running healthy living and cooking workshops, providing food and drink on a daily basis, relying on kitchen equipment donated by volunteers. Then the freezer broke down, which caused a major issue as there was nowhere to store frozen food and it was a struggle to provide a good range of meals with just a fridge. At this point local refrigeration manufacturer Williams came to the rescue by donating a commercial freezer, which Bridge for Heroes has described as ‘a godsend!’ (more…)
It’s a family affair as Kings Lynn manufacturer’s long-serving staff celebrate awards
The people who come to work for Williams in Kings Lynn tend to stay a long, long while. In fact, the average length of tenure is over 15 years. On August 15th the company held a ceremony to hand out its latest awards to its long-serving staff – two of whom were celebrating 30 years’ service!
In fact, adding up all the people who reach 15, 20 and 30 years’ landmarks gives a grand total of well over 1,000 years in total! (more…)
Kings Lynn refrigeration company’s success at international catering equipment show
Williams was delighted with the high level of visitors to its stand at the recent Host exhibition in Milan. “The new products we had on show generated a real buzz of interest, especially the visually striking units from our Front of House range,” says Martin Laws, marketing manager.
Williams shared the stand with Mono, an AFE Group partner. Both companies were also helping to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their parent company, ALI Group. Celebrations included an “Eating out around the world” themed extravaganza attended by over 1,000 VIP guests. (more…)

Williams Refrigeration in King’s Lynn recognises the outstanding contribution its loyal employees have made to its success in a special Long Service Award Lunch on Tuesday 3rd September at the company’s showroom.
Dave Britton, John Freestone, Domonic Mace, Mark Rippon, Ray Woodhouse and Keith Panks have each been at Williams for 30 years, while Steve Bradbury, Angela Mowles, Carl Muffett and Lee Parkin have run up 20 years apiece. (more…)
Staff at Williams Refrigeration raise money for Lynn charity Reach for a Star
Staff at King’s Lynn-based Williams Refrigeration cooked up a storm with their very own Bake-Off on 10th December 2012, raising more than £200 for the newly-registered King’s Lynn charity, Reach for a Star.
Reach for a Star is committed to helping children and their families fight life-threatening conditions with dignity, comfort and support. The charity is close to the hearts of the Williams Refrigeration team, as co-founder Claire Moore works for the company. Claire and husband Stuart co-founded Reach for a Star after their daughter Olivia, six, was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour, called a pilocytic astrocytoma. (more…)
