VarioCooking Center 112L awarded Innovation Challenge Gold Award
Frima UK was awarded the Innovation Challenge Gold Award at the Commercial Kitchen Show for the latest addition to the VarioCooking Center range, the 112L.

CESA celebrates passion and commitment of foodservice individuals from around the world at breakfast ceremony during Hotelympia 2014
CESA’s Foodservice Order of Merit recognises individuals who have gone beyond the call of duty in service to the catering industry. The Orders are presented every two years, during Hotelympia, and the 2014 ceremony featured a diverse honours list of the great and the good from the UK and overseas, who came together to collect their awards at a special breakfast held on the Tuesday of the show (29th April).

Matthew O’Hagan is FRIMA UK’s new regional sales manager for London. Matthew is not only an experienced catering industry sales executive, having worked with top hospitality brands such as Carlsberg and Pepsico, but also a professional chef who has cooked alongside the likes of Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder.
“I’m excited to join FRIMA UK,” he says. “This is a fast moving industry and the VarioCooking Center is a truly innovative product, it’s got enormous potential in any modern kitchen design. This job lets me bring together my sales background and cooking, which is my passion.”

Small Businesses Sign up to New Apprentice Recruitment Drive
Small and medium sized firms in the catering equipment industry are set to benefit from an innovative partnership between employers, trade associations and government.
The Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA), the Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA) and the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) has committed to securing 75 Apprenticeships among its small and medium sized members following the Holt Review’s recommendations that trade associations play a bigger role in the promotion of Apprenticeships.
