CESA celebrates 75 years

Stand 356, Hospitality Show, January 21 – 23, 2013, NEC Birmingham At the Hospitality Show 2013 CESA is celebrating its 75th year of informing, involving and influencing policy relative to the catering industry. Although CESA (Catering Equipment Suppliers Association) itself was formed in 1996, it evolved from the earlier CEMA (Catering Equipment Manufacturers Association), set up in 1938.

CESA’s CFSP programme to expand into Sweden, Russia and India

CFSP (Certified Food Service Professional), the industry specific professional qualification for the UK Food Service industry has just seen a record number of 43 people attend its latest seminar. This will bring the total of those, in the UK, who are CFSP qualified to over 200. Government Procurement Service (GPS) agrees to work more closely with CESA in future – and help members in the short term

Following the meeting between CESA, the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association, and the Government Procurement Service (GPS), it has been agreed that its tendering process, which has been a contentious issue for many equipment companies, will be re-examined for future tenders.  However, this will not happen until next year.  In the meantime, GPS has offered to help catering equipment companies who were unsuccessful in tendering for a place on the framework agreement this year on a ‘one to one basis,’ to...
