Southampton Parents Welcome Schools’ Olympic Legacy Catering Equipment Feeding 10,000 school children every day is no easy task, especially when dealing with a variety of different school buildings and layouts. Southampton school meals service uses Versicarte trolleys, from British manufacturer E & R Moffat, throughout its foodservice operation. Recently, when more Versicartes were needed for the ‘fleet’, Southampton struck lucky: they were able to get them at less than half price, thanks to the Olympic Legacy agreement.

Win completes LACA hat trick for British catering equipment manufacturer Moffat has won the LACA award for Outstanding Supplier 2013. It is the first time that the award has been given to a previous winner – Moffat previously claimed the accolade in 2007. In fact it is a LACA ‘hat trick’ for the company, since Moffat were also named Supplier of the Year in the Wales Region Awards announced earlier this year.

Moffat’s Versicarte trolley helps ‘make it real’ Sixty MPs and several Peers got the opportunity to see just how good school dinners can be, when LACA served up lunch in the Houses of Parliament. The menu featured real school food, served by school dinner ladies using a ‘proper’ school meal servery trolley, a Versicarte unit provided by Moffat.
