Vollrath induction wok with pan offers energy-saving stir fry all day long

FEM now supplies Vollrath’s induction wok with carbon steel pan for effortless cooking

With soaring energy charges looming, operators are looking to energy-efficient equipment to help keep costs manageable. FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing) now offers Vollrath’s induction wok with a carbon steel wok pan, for low-energy cooking and to effortlessly prepare vegetables, stir-fries and other Asian cuisines.

The wok uses the high efficiency of induction to provide gas-like performance in a safe, flameless, easy-to-use, electric appliance for commercial use. It has the power to heat to the true wok temperatures busy kitchens require, continuous duty induction circuitry for non-stop cooking and a turbo button to provide immediate heat.

To protect the operator and extend the life of the induction wok, there are a variety of built-in safety features including over-heat protection, small-article detection, automatic pan detection and empty-pan shut-off. A bright digital display on the front of the casing is located away from the cooking surface, while rubber feet prevent slipping. Its modern industrial design looks great on front-of-house countertops, or it can be installed as a drop-in unit with an additional stainless steel template.

The wok’s standard-size impact-resistant induction ceramic bowl works with most 14in (35.6cm) carbon steel or induction-ready stainless steel wok pans. The package includes the 58814 Vollrath 14″ carbon steel that ensures even heating, while a strong tubular handle offers a comfortable grip and features a hang-hole for convenient storage. It is supplied with a 6ft cord and plug ready to be used straightaway.
