Cambro’s Basics shelving range introduces wider range of lengths

Increased flexibility lets operators maximise use of available space and create bespoke storage options

Storage systems that are hygienic, versatile and hardwearing while maximising use of space are an essential item for commercial kitchens. Building on the popularity of Cambro’s Basics Series Starter Units, Foodservice Equipment Marketing (FEM) is introducing additional models, giving operators increased flexibility in choosing the perfect shelves for their business.

The Basics range comes in two width options, 460mm and 610mm. With the introduction of the new units, each now has five different available length options, 910, 1070, 1220, 1380, and 1530mm.

The units are fully compatible with Cambro shelf and post kits, enabling operators to create unique customised systems that maximise their available space. Spacing between shelves can also be adjusted, allowing for stock to be stored exactly as required.

The units are constructed from composite material with a memory feature, in a brushed graphite finish. They are extremely durable and resistant to damage such as scratching, warping and peeling, and come with a lifetime warranty against rust and corrosion. It is also impervious to moisture, salt and water.

The memory feature means that if it bends while under heavy loads, it returns to its original shape once items are removed, unlike metal shelves which may remain distorted. Capable of withstanding a wide temperature range, from -38°C to 88°C, the shelves are perfect for use in walk-in refrigerators and cold rooms, as well as for all areas of food service operations. The shelves are also vented, which helps to maximise the lifespan of perishable goods by providing a constant air flow around them.

The shelves can be removed for cleaning either individually or in sections, and are dishwasher safe. They support all food safety, HAACP and sanitation recommendations.
