Hotelympia 2014 Preview
FEM will be showing the updated Alto-Shaam range at Hotelympia

Alto-Shaam will be displaying its latest range of catering equipment at Hotelympia 2014. Distributed in the UK and Ireland by Foodservice Equipment Marketing (FEM), the Alto-Shaam range includes cook and hold ovens, smokers, Combitherm combi steamers, convection ovens, heated holding cabinets and drawers and merchandising and display cases. Representatives from FEM will be available on the stand to discuss the range and Dushan Lukovic, FEM’s Executive Chef, will be doing on-stand cooking demonstrations.
On display will be the multi-functional, space saving CT Express Combitherm combi-steamer which has a new integrated catalytic converter, allowing the unit to operate without an extraction fan or hood. The CT roasts, steams, bakes and oven-fries 70% faster than conventional cooking methods, whilst its EcoSmart design uses less electricity than competitive models, saving on running costs overall.
Also on the stand will be the Alto-Shaam Smoker Ovens. The ovens offer all the convenience of cook and hold ovens with the added feature of being able to flavour menu items with real smoke. Using pure woodchips for authentic flavouring, chefs don’t need to add extra artificial ingredients to get the depth of taste they require and the smoking process itself induces a natural enzyme action in meat, which makes it especially tender.
Alto-Shaam mobile banquet carts keep pre-plated food hot, fresh and ready to serve, by using the special Halo Heat system. This offers a controlled, uniform heat source that gently and evenly warms the food. The carts prolong the holding life of food, ensuring better appearance and excellent taste.
