Precision Flies The Flag at Host 2011

British refrigeration manufacturer plans to boost exports with new models and technologies

Host 2011, Milan, 21-25 October

British manufacturer Precision will show several new products at the 2011 Host Show in Milan.  They include its radical Variable Temperature technology, which allows users to change a standard cabinet from a fridge to a freezer, and back again, at the touch of a button, alongside its new Space Saver cabinets and latest blast chiller.

“The current exchange rate is working in British manufacturers’ favour and we’re hoping our new products will make a big impact in Milan,” says Precision managing director Nick Williams.  “We already export to Europe – Host is an opportunity for us to build sales further.”

Variable Temperature Cabinets (VTCs) allow caterers to adjust their refrigeration to match changing needs – for example, to allow for seasonal ingredients.  Precision’s range of VTCs is not only extremely flexible but also, unlike alternative variable refrigeration products, very affordable.

Despite this affordable flexibility, there’s no compromise in performance: whether it be in freezer or refrigerator mode, the VTC works like any other quality Precision product, with exactly the same high specification, features, controls and parameters.  Because they offer a temperature range of -22C to +4C, caterers can fine-tune their VTC to the precise application they require: meat, fish, dairy, general purpose and so on.

The new Space Saver cabinets offer standard gastronorm storage in a very non-standard, compact format.  The smallest unit measures just 650mm by 600mm yet offers 150 litres of storage and accepts full 1/1 GN shelves.  It’s ideal in any site where space is limited and gastronorm storage is required.

Precision’s blast chillers comply with all British and EU regulations yet work off a standard 13 amp supply.  They are designed to be the easiest-ever to use, are remarkably low in energy consumption and offer soft chill, hard chill and blast-freeze modes.

At Host, Precision will also be showing a selection from its established range, all of which is built in Britain, including standard gastronorm cabinets and counters, wall cabinets and backbar units.
