Restaurant Show 2008: Rational showcases ‘spectacular’ SelfCooking Center

Restaurant Show 2008 - Chefs demonstrate the Rational Self Cooking Center Rational will showcase the latest combi cooking technology, techniques and tools at the Restaurant Show 2008. And if visitors have any combi cooking questions, they can come and chat to the expert chefs on stand H28, anytime throughout the show. Along with demonstrations covering everything from breakfast to banqueting, there’s a daily showstopper – a chance for the Rational chefs to highlight some of the SelfCooking Center’s features with spectacular dishes like suckling pig or rib of beef.

Amongst the technologies on show is CleanJet, which is one of Rational’s most popular features. The most effective self-cleaning programme on the market, it’s also easy: all staff have to do is pop the cleaning tablets in the oven, shut the door and press the button. Not only is it effortless, it’s also proven to deliver a more hygienically clean result than cleaning by hand.

One of the newest ‘combi tools’ from Rational is the Superspike. Using this accessory the largest SelfCooking Center can produce up to 120 crispy-skinned, beautifully succulent roast chickens.

Rational’s cooking demonstrations will allow visitors to see just how easy it is to produce perfect results in the SelfCooking Center. Select the food, push the button and that’s it: the SelfCooking Controls take over, letting chefs get on with more creative tasks like menu planning.

Regular tastings throughout the Show will allow visitors to test the results for themselves. The schedule of cooking demonstrations will be displayed on stand for those who want to check particular dishes and techniques.
