It’s stylish and space-saving – wok a good idea

FEM introduces the Sirman wok induction hob designed for safe, flame-free wok cooking

Wok cooking is very popular, it’s versatile and is bang on trend for healthy eating as it doesn’t use much fat.  FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing) has introduced the new Sirman countertop wok induction hob, model IH 35 WOK, to bring wok cooking safely to anywhere where there’s an electrical supply. It’s a quick way to cook to order, producing fabulous stir fries and other Eastern-inspired dishes.

The new stylish, space-saving Sirman induction hob for wok cooking is ideal for kitchens, front-of-house and outside and event catering. Using induction technology means it is very energy efficient with no need to heat up prior to use. It only uses electricity when the pan is on the induction wok hob.

There is no flame so it is very safe to use and the cooking pots stay cleaner than using a traditional open flame wok. Graduated digital controls give the user precise control over the heat. It measures 340mm (w) x 445mm (d) x 110mm (h) and, for larger scale operations, several of these Sirman induction hobs for woks can be lined up to create a modular cooking suite.

To get the most out of the Sirman wok induction hob FEM also supplies a matching Sirman wok and lid. Both the wok and lid are made from durable induction-ready stainless steel.
