Utopia has introduced walled plates to the Ink, Coral, Truffle and Goa collections
Everyone knows that presentation is a key part of the dining experience. Chefs put a huge amount of effort into the finishing touches to their creations. The choice of plate is an integral part of the overall design, it should add that final wow but shouldn’t overwhelm the dish. Walled plates are the latest chefs’ ‘must have’. Keeping abreast of trends Utopia has introduced walled plates to the new Ink, Coral, Truffle and Goa collections. Designed to be the perfect backdrop to any dish, they subtly add height and frame to the creation.
The Ink collection has a rich blue colourway with a low sheen to create a feeling of casual sophistication. The new walled plates combine with the cool blue glaze to create a pared back Japandi feel. A variation in colour intensity is an intrinsic part of this glaze making each large 260 x 28mm plate unique.
The walled plates in the Goa collection have a reactive glaze in warm mushroom coloured, earthy tones. Each plate has its own charm with a pooling of glaze around the inside edge to add to the artisan effect. Measuring a generous 260 x 28mm, these plates delight chefs and diners alike.
The darker reactive glaze of the Truffle walled plates extends the earthy theme. There are lighter speckles in the glaze which become more concentrated at the edges, these plates have contrasting rims and exteriors for extra visual appeal. They are available in the standard 210 x 20mm size.
The Coral walled plates give a rich burst of a spattered deep pink colour over the surface, giving each one true individuality. With a contrasting dark outer rim and walls these plates add a vibrancy and freshness to the serve. The Coral walled plates are in the larger 260 x 28mm size.
All of these collections are made from vitrified porcelain for strength and durability. They are dishwasher safe and can be stacked for storage.
