Backpack to the future

FEM introduces Cambro’s hands-free insulated food delivery backpacks

The meteoric rise in home delivery during the pandemic looks set to stay even as consumers eagerly flock back to cafes and restaurants. So, for those offering delivery services, the future looks good. The crunch point is getting the food to the customer in the same condition it left the kitchen. That means quickly and safely with no loss of quality.

The Cambro GoBag Delivery Backpack from FEM (Foodservice Equipment Marketing) is designed to protect menu items from kitchen to customer, to help food arrive undamaged and delicious. With a choice of two sizes available, these backpacks enable delivery personnel to transport orders hands-free, either on foot, cycle or motorbike.

To maintain safe temperatures and food quality, the GoBag backpacks have high-density insulation throughout. They are comfortable and secure to wear and are durable, waterproof and easy to clean. A divider secures with hook and loop strips to safely separate menu items, while a large side pocket holds receipts and condiments. When not in use the bags fold flat for easy transport and compact storage.

Other useful features include side-mounted straps for hand carrying, a front zipper for easy loading and unloading, and adjustable padded shoulder straps. Two buckles plus hook and loop fastener keep the backpack securely closed and there is reflector tape on the outside of the bag to enhance visibility and safety.

The GoBag backpacks are available in two sizes: small, with interior dimensions measuring 279(w) x 355(d) x 430(h)mm, and large measuring 381 x 355 x 430mm.
