Tableware gets inspired by the Blues

Parsley in Time’s launches latest tableware innovations

Blue is having a big moment in tableware – and Parsley in Time’s new Innovations publication shows restaurateurs just how flexible it can be.  From the icy grey blue of the Glacier designs to the deep, warm blue of the Stonecast Patina range, there’s a blue for every mood and style.

Innovations is a collection of some of Parsley in Time’s latest launches, brought together to celebrate the hottest trends in the table top and some of the latest gadgets for the commercial kitchen.

Glacier is typical not only of the hot blue trend but also of the fashion for bowls, rimless coup plates and unusual shapes and finishes.  Its speckled glaze and hue set off food beautifully and the wide range of sizes and shapes, includes square and rectangular plates, can add theatre to the table setting.

Glacier is part of the Aura selection, manufactured by Porcelite.  Other tableware manufacturers whose products are highlighted in Innovations include Royal Crown Derby, Churchill and Villeroy & Boch.

Cutlery can also help operators find that elusive point of difference for the table.  One of Parsley in Time’s newest lines is the Contour Noir range from Robert Welch.  It combines a tapered look with black handles to create a fluid design that looks striking yet is comfortable to use.  Meanwhile the manufacturer’s Drift beverage collection emphasises how clever design can create unusual tableware that’s also practical.  Its tea and coffee pots, and accessories, all feature an undulating form that creates dramatic highlights across the polished stainless steel.

Another big trend is sustainability and Innovations showcases several of Parsley in Time’s eco-products.  They include ‘green’ disposable tableware made of products such as bamboo along with paper straws and metal stirrers.

Innovations is available to download from the Parsley in Time website.  Printed copies are also available on request.
