LACA 2018: Winterhalter shows warewasher developed for school caterers

PT500 passthrough hood machine delivers quality results in a budget-friendly design

Stand M44, The LACA Main Event, 11th-13th July 2018, the Hilton Birmingham Metropole

Winterhalter will launch a passthrough warewasher specifically developed for schools at the LACA 2018 Main event.  The PT500 is a passthrough hood machine that features many of the company’s market-leading technologies, such as the energy management system that boosts capacity.  However, it’s also a stripped down model aimed at buyers who are working to tight budgets.

The key selling points for school kitchens will be that the PT500 delivers brilliant cleaning results, it delivers them quickly, it is built to Winterhalter’s exacting standards and is available at a very competitive price.

Standard features include wash arms that create elliptical wash fields, ensuring maximum cleaning power throughout the chamber, and the quadruple filtration system that keeps wash water cleaner for longer, reducing running costs.

The energy management system slashes the PT500’s heat up time by 50% – Winterhalter says its ability to wash faster is a major bonus in schools, where lunch service is on a tight timescale.  The machine’s shortest programme can process 60 racks an hour.  The PT500 also offers standard and intensive wash programmes.

Operation is easy and optional extras include integrated detergent and rinse aid systems, as well as an integrated water softener.  Labour-saving features include a self-cleaning programme.
