April 10th sees the return of the popular Elemental Show in the grounds of Mountfichet College, Forest Hall Road, Stansted. A lifestyle show that’s built around classic Volkswagens, it’s a great day out and it’s in aid of a good cause, raising funds for the Essex Air Ambulance. Alongside the beautifully restored Beetles and Campers there are loads of stalls, a laser light show, live music all day and, this year, an evening party featuring a band fronted by former Hawkwind legend Nik Turner.
Elemental is sponsored by Bishop Stortford-based HIC (Herts Insurance Consultants), the car insurance broker that is especially fond of VWs. To celebrate the Elemental Show’s fifth anniversary HIC will be giving away free, stress-relieving squidgy orange VW Beetles – all visitors have to do is go to the stand and spend a couple of minutes getting a quote for car insurance (it doesn’t matter what sort of car you drive). HIC reckons it can beat just about any quote, which is why the business has grown so quickly over the last 12 months.
Entry to Elemental costs £5 per person and the gates open at 10.00am on April 10th. For more information visit www.elementalvw.org.uk
