Rational’s LevelControl takes the guess work out of cooking

Rational’s SelfCooking Center® Is A Multi-Tasking Sensation

Rational LevelControl allows you to cook different foods at the same time with no flavour cross over Multi-tasking is what being a chef is all about. There are so many things to prepare and cook all at the same time. But they don’t all have the same cooking requirements; some like it hot, some cooler, some fast, some slow. It would seem that an array of different cooking appliances is needed in a busy commercial kitchen to cope with it all.

However the Rational SelfCooking Center has come to the rescue of beleaguered chefs. Its LevelControl function opens up whole new possibilities in the kitchen. It constantly monitors the food being cooked so that even if the door is opened, it automatically adjusts the cooking period and alerts the chef once it is cooked.

Completely different types of dishes can be loaded into the SelfCooking Center at the same time, so that at peak times it is effectively acting as several different appliances. The chef can load steaks on one rack, fish on another, sponge puddings on another and so on. Then just punch in what is being cooked and the SelfCooking Center does the rest. All the kitchen staff have to do is take out the cooked dishes when the buzzer goes off.

LevelControl monitors individual shelves separately and tells staff when food on each shelf is ready. For example, steaks can be on one shelf and cooked for 10 minutes while fish can be on another shelf for 6 minutes. The SelfCooking Center will tell the chef when each shelf is ready and adjust the time for the other shelf accordingly. Another bonus is that there is no cross-contamination of flavours or tastes, even when strong items such as fish, puddings and garlic bread are cooked at the same time.

And when it comes to cleaning at the end of the day the SelfCooking Center has got that sorted as well. With the new CareControl® system it never needs descaling, doesn’t need a water filter and cleans itself fully automatically and only just as much as is necessary.

With a small footprint the SelfCooking Center can replace or reduce the load on all conventional cooking appliances, such as hot-air ovens, ranges, steamers and pots and pans, as well as cutting down on the number of staff needed in the kitchen.
