Sustainable refrigeration: Greenlogic from Williams

Manufacturer offers insight into the science behind the green stats

Williams is showing how a leading refrigeration manufacturer is tackling sustainability targets with its latest Greenlogic initiative.  Greenlogic covers every aspect of Williams’ operation, from product design to sourcing raw materials and components, to manufacturing and plant, to transport and distribution.

The company has set out details of green activities, plans and objectives in the Greenlogic Guide, which is available to download from marketing.williams-refrigeration.co.uk/greenlogic

“There is huge interest in sustainability and climate change in the hospitality market right now,” says Malcolm Harling, sales and marketing director at Williams.  “Operators and dealers are asking about manufacturers’ green credentials, they want to understand the science behind the statistics.  Our Greenlogic initiative is designed to give them those answers and demonstrate how responsible manufacturing can help meet their own environmental commitments.”

A key part of the Greenlogic initiative is to inform and offer advice to customers and business partners about how Williams is meeting its environmental targets.  Part of the Guide is an FAQ section answering a diverse range of questions, covering issues ranging from energy efficiency to WEEE and end of service life processes.

The Williams Greenlogic Guide offers a comprehensive insight that focuses on the initiative’s three core areas: product, plant and processes.  It also delves into current regulations and legislation, including F gas and energy labelling, and offers an indication of the company’s plans for the future.

“Greenlogic is integral to our Corporate Social Responsibility policies,” says Harling.  “It’s our commitment to supplying the most energy efficient and sustainable refrigeration possible.”

Williams Refrigeration offers a comprehensive range of commercial refrigeration including gastronorm cabinets and counters, specialist bakery equipment, coldrooms, multidecks and blast chillers.
