Rational’s new maintenance software maximises iVario reliability

Free upgrade for customers sets new standard in maintenance professionalism

Chefs depend on their cooking systems to be reliable: if a vital appliance breaks down, it can cause kitchen chaos.  A key to avoiding the potential crisis is ensuring that the equipment is looked after with the best possible service and maintenance.  Now Rational has launched a maintenance history software update for its iVario cooking system that is designed to set a new standard in professional maintenance and equipment reliability.

The software update means that engineers can access a complete service history for the iVario, via its touchscreen.  The history includes when each service was done, who by, and what parts were replaced.

The new software update is available to download via Rational’s ConnectedCooking platform.  The software is very simple to use and requires no additional training for the engineer.

Any Rational customers interested in registering their cooking systems for ConnectedCooking can do so at www.connectedcooking.com.  Meanwhile, to register for a demonstration of the iVario cooking system, visit www.raional-online.com.

“The software upgrade makes it easier for engineers and technicians to complete maintenance checks or repairs quickly and efficiently, because they know exactly what’s happened in the past,” says Trevor Lath, national service director at Rational UK.  “It doesn’t matter if different engineers visit the same site, by accessing the maintenance history they’ll have the information they need to carry out their work as quickly and easily as possible.”

Once the data has been inputted it can’t be adjusted or tampered with.  “This creates complete, secure documentation that ensures clarity and transparency in maintenance work,” says Lath.

The maintenance history software is a free upgrade for Rational customers.  As well as being compatible with the iVario cooking system it can also be used with the iCombi Pro combi-steamer.
