Chris Giles: the right man set to replace Martin Shaw at FEM

New regional sales manager looking forward to helping new and existing customers

Chris Giles has joined FEM as Regional Sales Manager. He will be working with dealer partners in the Southern region to identify new customers, as well as running demo days and helping with training.

Chris has many years of experience working in the catering equipment supply industry. He spent four years as a National Account Manager at Bidfood, before that he was Commercial Manager at Aggora for two years, and was with Electrolux Professional as Sales Manager for four years. This has given him experience of working with all types of customers, including the NHS and some of the largest names in contract catering.

Chris, 41, has been married for three and a half years and has three children, one son and two daughters. A keen sportsman, he has been playing football – and supporting Liverpool – for thirty years. He also plays cricket and coaches youth teams, with two former pupils having gone on to play first class cricket.

“FEM has a great reputation, with excellent products and first class service,” says Chris. “I am excited to be joining the company, and look forward to continuing the excellent work FEM does. The past eighteen months have been difficult for many businesses, but I am eager to move ahead and work with some great dealers to help grow the region to pre-pandemic figures, and more!”

“I am really delighted that Chris will be joining us,” says Michael Inwood, Sales Director of FEM. “He will be taking over from our longest serving salesmen, Martin Shaw, when he retires later this year. Martin and I feel like we have found the right man to succeed him in Chris. He has over 20 years of experience within the hospitality sector, he has worked for manufacturers and dealers, and has sold products from both the heavier and lighter ends of our equipment portfolio. He has a great personality and attitude and I am sure he will really add value for our customers.”
