Translucent red polypropylene gastronorm containers make setting up safe meat storage simple
FEM has worked alongside Cambro Manufacturing to develop a range of polypropylene gastronorm containers specifically designed for storing raw meat food products. Designed to provide safe storage and transport of meat products, the new containers are bright red in colour for easy identification. They eliminate the need for shrink wrap or other disposable storage materials, creating a more sustainable solution without compromising food safety.
Constructed entirely in bright red polypropylene and paired with tightly sealed lids, the containers provide secure storage for raw or cooked meat, maximising freshness and minimising the chance of cross-contamination. They are available in a variety of sizes, making them compatible with most commercial catering equipment.
A smooth, non-stick interior helps to minimise product waste, while making them easy to clean. Safe for use in dishwashers, the polypropylene material is also resistant to staining, odours and chemical damage. The uniform moulded-in flange works both as handles, making the containers easy for staff to carry, as well as allowing them to be kept safely in prep stations or food bars. The textured bottom reduces scratching damage meaning these food pans are ideal for heavy commercial use.
The bright red colour makes it easy to set up a safe, hygienic and easily identifiable storage system for meat. With an operating temperature range from -40°C to 70°C, the containers are suitable for storing food before and after the food preparation process, from refrigerated storage to front-of-house heated or chilled displays. They are also stackable to save space when not in use.
The range includes GN 1/1 pans available in 100mm, 150mm and 200mm deep, GN 1/2 pans at 150mm deep, as well as 100mm and 150mm deep variants of both 1/3 and 1/6 sized pans. Seal covers are available for each pan offering superior spill resistance, with an inner seal that extends shelf life for up to 3 days.
