Williams hospital coldrooms can be customised for maximum flexibility in design

Williams maintains rapid-response hospital coldroom team for installation and service

Williams Refrigeration’s team dedicated to installing and maintaining its modular coldrooms is remaining active during the current crisis. With a nationwide network of engineers and project management teams, the company is ready to respond quickly to hospitals and other healthcare facilities in need of additional refrigerated storage, and to keep existing installations operating at peak efficiency.

Williams has decades of experience offering a complete coldroom service to hospitals and healthcare facilities covering a range of purposes. Williams coldrooms are completely modular, allowing them to be customised to use almost any available space.  Where space is limited, they can also be installed outside. Constructed using panels with zero ODP foam insulation, Williams is the only manufacturer to offer ceiling, floor and wall panels with camlocks, which are securely foamed into tongue and groove joints for a tight-locking, stable structure.  These eliminate the risk of ice build-up in joints and ensure the stability of the thermal envelope.

Every part of the coldroom has a number of options. Doors can be hinged, sliding, personnel style (with flip flap doors opening both ways) and fitted with viewing panels if required. Floors can be made from a variety of materials, depending on the application, including fibre glass reinforced resin or aluminium, as well as both galvanised and stainless steel. The internal space can be configured with different temperature zones, controlled from a simple touch screen, which can also be customised according to requirements.

Features like these make Williams coldrooms a popular choice for high risk and sensitive storage facilities, such as for pharmaceutical storage, mortuaries and laboratories.  “Some of these locations have even more exacting requirements,” says Malcolm Harling, sales and marketing director of Williams.  “For example, we’ve built temperature controlled test rooms with vibration damping floors.

“Williams has put plans in place to ensure we can continue to support the healthcare sector in these challenging times,” he adds. “Our team is able to respond quickly to any issues with existing coldrooms, and have a track record of working to tight installation deadlines that is second to none.”

Williams provides support from the initial design stage, all the way through specification and construction and with a comprehensive support and aftercare service.

Williams Refrigeration offers a comprehensive range of commercial refrigeration products including cabinets and counters, coldrooms and blast chillers.
