Falcon Bicentennial Ahoy!

British manufacturer celebrates 200th anniversary with party on Thames

Over 120 friends and colleagues from the foodservice industry joined Falcon for a celebration of the British manufacturer’s bicentennial on Thursday November 21 2019.  The venue was London’s Victoria Embankment, where guests embarked on a trip down the Thames aboard Bateaux London.

The guests represented some of the biggest names from both the operator and the equipment supply sides of the foodservice industry, with national accounts personnel mixing with distributors, designers and consultants.

“This is all about thanking some of the key organisations and individuals who have supported us down the years,” said Falcon managing director Peter McAllister.  “Great relationships are such an important part of business success – and the guests are from many of our closest business partners.  Reaching such a milestone would not have been possible without the support of everyone that joined us today.”

He added, “While we are here today to celebrate our 200th anniversary, and our history is hugely important to us, it doesn’t define us.  It’s who we are today that matters.  We have a fantastic team at Falcon who are developing innovative products.  We’ve just launched our heavy duty Dominator Plus range and we have a number of new products being launched in the new year, including a new induction range. As well as investing in new products, we’re investing in new systems and processes.  There are lots of exciting things coming from Falcon in the near future.”

Amongst the guests was Peter Kitchin of C&C Catering Equipment who said, “To me, Falcon means heritage, a lot of history, and a quality company.  The party has been great, as soon as we got the invite we knew we didn’t want to miss it.  It’s been a great day.  Happy birthday, Falcon, here’s to the next 200 years!”
