On Saturday June 1 I ticked ‘flying a Spitfire’ off my bucket list. What an experience (bought for me by my loving wife, who took out extra life insurance but sadly won’t get a payout this time). The weather was perfect and I totally enjoyed the whole totally awesome thing. This despite the ‘briefing’ (essentially (a) don’t do this if you’re of a nervous disposition and (b) here are the simple things to do in case of an emergency (WAY to complicated to repeat here, or to remember at the time)).
