Rational’s technology trio connects at LACA 2019

Stand M74, The LACA Main Event, Hilton Birmingham Metropole, July 10-12 2019

Together, a VarioCookingCenter, a SelfCookingCenter and Rational’s ConnectedCooking system create a highly efficient, effectively manageable school kitchen that is ready for the future.  This technological trio will be the focus of the Rational stand at The Main Event 2019.

These days the value of a combi steamer, such as the market leading SelfCookingCenter (SCC), is well recognised.  At The Main Event Rational will show a ten-grid SCC 101, one of its most popular school models.  In the VarioCookingCenter (VCC) Rational developed an appliance that can boil, fry, sous vide, confit, deep fry, slow cook and pressure cook.  On Stand M74 will be two models – the twin-pan VCC 112 and the larger, single pan VCC211.

ConnectedCooking allows SCCs and VCCs to be networked together. A kitchen networked in this way can cook everything a modern school catering operation requires – from a minimal footprint, using less energy than conventional appliances. Meanwhile the multifunctionality of the VCC and SCC appliances can adapt to varying demand and changes in menus, offering more cooking options and greater flexibility than conventional ovens and traditional kitchen equipment.

ConnectedCooking allows school caterers and their service providers to monitor and manage Rational appliances remotely, even across multiple sites, over the internet.  They can upload new recipes, check on cooking processes and scrutinise operational efficiency. Service problems can be quickly identified and fixed, reducing maintenance costs.  ConnectedCooking will make school kitchens safer and more efficient, and makes managing equipment much easier.

Rational personnel will be on hand throughout The Main Event to discuss the latest prime cooking technology with school caterers.
