Expert Rational chefs will show visitors how the new SelfCookingCenter combi steamer can cook a wide range of delicious delicacies – all at the touch of a button with perfect results. Also, visitors will get a chance to taste everything that is cooked to experience the superior cooking quality of the Rational.

Rational’s new SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses is the first intelligent commercial cooking appliance that actually interacts with chefs, getting to know the way they work so that, together, the chef and their combi can always deliver the best possible cooking results. It’s interactive cooking control (iCookingControl) technology ensures food is prepared exactly the way the chef wants, by monitoring, controlling and adjusting temperature, time, air speed and the cooking climate, whilst keeping the chef  constantly informed, via a monitor, of  what is happening at any time.

On the stand, the Rational chefs will show how the SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses’ iLevelControl feature enables chefs to cook mixed loads. iLevelControl tells the chef which foods can be cooked simultaneously and adjusts the cooking time for each shelf, as required, throughout the process. It also allows the chef to tell the combi their preferred specifications and cooking methods so that signature dishes can be replicated, even by unskilled staff.

The chefs will also demonstrate how the SelfCookingCenter can be used for overnight roasting, enabling venues to capitalise on lower energy rates and helping staff to get ahead for the next day. The Rational cooks meat perfectly, producing succulent meat joints with just the right level of browning on the skin. It also reduces shrinkage by 20% compared to traditional cooking methods, boosting profit margins as well as quality.

The SelfCookingCenter can cook just about everything. Chefs can roast, poach, grill, bake, toast, braise and even pan fry all using a Rational – all at the touch of a button and with consistent cooking quality. Because it is multifunctional, a SelfCookingCenter saves space; in fact it can replace 40 to 50% of standard appliances, reducing the kitchen footprint by at least 30%.
