Hubbard Systems latest brochure simplifies choosing an ice machine

Supercube, flake, superflake, dice, scale, cubelet or nugget? With so many different types of ice it’s important to find the right one to suit the application. Hubbard Systems has launched a brochure to help venues get the right ice machine and ice type for their requirements.

The “What’s your ice type?” brochure explores the different varieties and shapes of ice and the application they are best suited to – so that operators get the best out of their ice. To make things even easier, Hubbard matches the ice type with the appropriate Scotsman machine.

For example, drinks such as G&T and Scotch on the rocks, need good-looking, crystal clear ice with a slow melt rate so that the drink isn’t diluted. For this the brochure shows that gourmet Supercubes fit the bill.

But hard, Supercube ice is murder on blenders, so for blended cocktails or food displays a different type of ice is required.
