ADRIAN FLUX SPONSORS NORTH RUNCTON CRICKET CLUB YOUTH TEAMS
Norfolk-based specialist insurance broker Adrian Flux Insurance Services has announced a sponsorship deal for the North Runcton Cricket Club near King’s Lynn.
Aimed at supporting the Norfolk club’s youth coaching section, Flux will provide equipment and clothing to help the next generation of cricket enthusiasts following in the footsteps of local stars, such as Martin Saggers and Robert Ferley, who have gone on to shine in the national game.
The NRCC Chairman Darren Cubitt, who helps organise the youth teams and coaching, says that village cricket really needs support from local businesses as it comes under pressure from the recession and growing competition for the attentions of young children.
“We coach children from as young as seven until they are ready to enter the Under-12 youth teams”, says Darren. “It’s vital that they get proper support from the very start. A local cricket club is a valuable training ground for children to learn how to behave in society, and it’s a traditional part of England.
“We are very grateful when local businesses sponsor our club, because they are investing in our children and the future of the community. It doesn’t take much to be really, really helpful to the club. Flux has pledged £250 for the 2009 season, and that will make a tremendous difference to many local children.”
Adrian Flux, based at nearby East Winch Hall, has long been involved in supporting local youth sports. As specialist in insurance for motoring enthusiasts the company has also backed several rising stars in motor racing and karting, and has a regular ‘man of the match’ award for local rugby team West Norfolk amongst others.
