FEM launches new heavy-duty G+ Maxi chiller for demanding professional kitchen environments
FEM has introduced the new G+ Maxi Superior 700 chiller from Gram Professional. This premium heavy-duty refrigeration solution is designed for high-demand professional kitchen environments where performance, reliability and efficiency are critical.
With an annual energy consumption of just 278 kWh/year, the Superior 700 sets a benchmark for efficiency in its class – clearly demonstrating what is meant by best-in-class energy performance for a commercial refrigerator of this type.
Engineered for intensive daily use, it combines robust build quality with advanced operational functionality. The unit forms part of the wider G+ Maxi range, developed to support busy kitchens handling high volumes of GN containers and frequent door openings.
G+ Maxi Superior chillers offer a significantly wider temperature range than traditional refrigerators, operating from -5°C to +12°C, making them suitable for a broad range of food storage applications. This gives operators greater flexibility while maintaining optimal food quality and safety.
With a gross capacity of 610 litres (454 litres net), the Superior 700 maximises usable storage in an efficient working footprint – it measures 700mm wide x 895mm deep x 2118mm high. The extra-deep cabinet design allows operators to store two GN 1/1 containers front-to-back on each shelf, optimising internal space and improving kitchen workflow.
Performance is matched by sustainability, with the unit utilising environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant and operating on a low 0.198kW power supply, helping operators reduce energy consumption without compromising cooling performance.
The Superior 700 is packed with features that make life easier for the kitchen brigade – including a foot-operated door opener, enabling hands-free access in busy kitchen environments. Amongst other operator-friendly features are radiused internal corners for easy cleaning, intuitive electronic controls, full-height ergonomic handles, self-closing reversible lockable door, and anti-tilt support rails for safe GN container storage. The four stainless steel wire shelves offer durability and hygienic storage.
Manufactured in Denmark, the Superior 700 is supplied with a comprehensive five-year parts and labour warranty, underlining its position as a long-term investment for professional kitchens seeking reliability and low total cost of ownership. The cabinet is fitted with 128mm castors as standard, with alternative feet or castor options available on request.
FEM supplies the complete range of G+ Maxi Superior chillers and freezers. They are available in both single and double-door configurations, from the compact C510, with 465 litres gross capacity, to the high-volume C1400 offering 1,359 litres gross capacity.
