“A tremendous asset”: hugely experienced chef joins FEM’s customer support team

Nathan Osborne is FEM’s new training and development chef

FEM has appointed a new training and development chef.  Nathan Osborne says he is very much looking forward to the role, which will see him working with distributors and their customers, doing presentations, demonstrations and training as well as helping customers with menu development and trouble shooting.

Nathan has a wealth of experience, which is just as well since he will be covering FEM’s extensive equipment portfolio, including recent additions such as Alto Shaam’s latest Vector multi-cook ovens and the Pujadas range of charcoal ovens.  As well as working with multiple manufacturers, on products as varied as combi ovens and sous vide appliances, Nathan is a seasoned trainer and presenter, and has taken part in international trade shows.   More recently he’s been working for some of the North West’s major football clubs, utilising his expertise in both modern catering equipment and high-volume fine dining.

“My dad was a chef, I guess cooking’s in the blood!” says Nathan.  “I started learning at a very young age and haven’t stopped.

“I’m really excited to be working with FEM. The company’s reputation, clients and equipment portfolio offer someone of my background an incredibly interesting opportunity.”

FEM’s sales director Michael Inwood is delighted to welcome Nathan to the team.  He says, “We feel now is the right time to bring a full-time “in-house” chef into the business to help support our dealers and national accounts.  Nathan has an amazing amount of knowledge and skill, backed by many years of experience in training and development, with single and multiple site users.  He knows how to explain complex techniques clearly and simply.  A chef of his calibre will be a tremendous asset to FEM, our dealers and their customers.”

Outside of work, Nathan says he and his two young children enjoy “getting out into the wild – be it camping or hitting the beach!”
