Wood takes over

Utopia launches range of disposable wooden cutlery for the eco-conscious

Scotland has become the first part of the UK to implement a ban on many single-use plastics including cutlery, the rest of the UK looks to follow shortly with plans currently under discussion. So now is the time to ditch the plastic cutlery for good.

Utopia, a leader in the race to bring sustainable alternatives to disposable plastics to hospitality venues, has launched a range of eco-friendly, disposable wooden cutlery. It is a viable option for those looking to do their bit for the environment and stay ahead of the regulations.

Designed for practicality and sustainability, the range is made from 100% FSC certified birch, a solid hardwood that creates a tough foundation for knives, forks and spoons. The precision cut, attractive cutlery is strong enough for just about every eating occasion. The spoon and fork feature curved working areas while the knife has a serrated edge for easier cutting.

The range is available as individual packs of knives, forks and spoons as well as combination packs including utensils and napkins, handily packaged together in a recyclable brown paper bag. This provides enormous flexibility for disposable cutlery in many different areas, from outdoor dining to takeaway and home delivery.
