TPW support GB Deaflympics team

Team GB, Deaflympics 2009 Cath Eyley from National Bartender magazine contacted us here at TPW HQ back in Feburary asking for sponsorship to help her raise funds to enable her to fly out to Taipei and be a part of the GB Deaflympics team. Since the accounts dept were out at lunch at the time, naturally we said ‘yes’.

Cath (number 18) & the GB Deaflympics Football Team Cath’s a member of the GB Deaflympics football team, which narrowly missed out on a podium finish in Taipei, being beaten into 4th place by a controversial Russian goal. Despite battling hard and working well as a team, the GB women narrowly missed out on a medal.

Cath says it was “an AWESOME experience and I would do it again”.

Well done Cath and all the GB Deaflympics team. We’re looking forward to see how the team do in Athens 2013. With a young talented squad, the future is looking bright for British women’s football.
