Energy-Saving Laundry Technology Maximises Efficiency, Eliminates Waste And Saves Money
At the Care Show Advance Laundry Equipment exhibited the latest Grandimpianti G 400 washers and dryers which use advanced technology to deliver a cleaner, whiter, softer wash while saving energy and resources. These modern washers’ Dynamic Weighing System automatically weighs every wash load and intelligently calculates the correct water levels, heating and detergent dosing required to achieve optimum wash results.
To add to the sophistication of this machine, Advance is soon to include a data tracking system that will record cycles and report on every wash, showing the time of day, loading level, energy used and temperature reached to give users an accurate data log for accounting and maintenance purposes.
Both washing machines and tumble driers have capacities from 6 – 120kg with rugged stainless steel construction throughout. Large loads and fast, energy efficient cycles increase throughput, while fully- programmable, one-touch operation makes them easy to use.
Also displayed was the Opura washing system that combines ozone, Grandimpianti’s washer extractor technology and Brilliant, a high quality detergent range from R.P. Adam. Opura delivers clean, infection free laundry on every cycle. Independent tests by Campden & Chorleywood Food Research Association (CCFRA) show that Opura can kill C.diff, MRSA, and E.Coli, in both viral and spore states, to a level that cannot be achieved using traditional thermal wash processes.
Live trials at a 60-bed care home conducted in partnership with Barchester Healthcare showed annual savings of £5690 per year from two 16.5kg Gramdimpianti washers and the Opura system. Users have also noted whiter whites and softer, fluffier, fresh smelling laundry.
