Rapid cook control: TurboChef’s One Touch ‘redefines ease of use’

Taylor UK launches TurboChef’s ‘vibrant’ touchscreen making high speed cooking simpler, faster and more precise

The latest generation of TurboChef’s high speed ovens have a new touchscreen that makes them easier than ever to use.  And it’s not just simpler for staff – the interface makes it very easy to upload or change recipes and adjust the oven’s settings.  Meanwhile its smart power-saving mode reduces energy consumption.

TurboChef compact high speed ovens are now available from Taylor UK.  The One Touch interface is available on most of the range, including the Sota, Eco, Bullet, i3 and i5 ovens.  As an example of their speed, the Bullet can toast a ‘sub style’ sandwich in just 35 seconds!  Meanwhile the ECO, the lowest priced model in the range, can cook a toasted sandwich in less than 90 seconds.

Whether the user is a highly trained chef or a first-time operator, One Touch makes high-speed cooking simpler, faster and more precise than ever.  The key to the user-friendly experience is the combination of the crisp, vibrant visuals, which ensure every detail is clear and easy to read, and the one-touch menu access, that allows staff to navigate through recipes, save favourites and access cooking cycles with a single tap.

Customisable controls mean the One Touch can be tailored to a site’s or group’s specific needs, to suit workflow and menu, while visual, step-by-step instructions and icons guide users through each operation, minimising training time and errors.

The One Touch power saving function automatically drops the temperature of the oven during quiet or idle times. This saves energy whilst keeping the oven in a ‘ready-to-go’ state, with minimal recovery time. The idle temperature and times of operation can be customised for each individual business.

Oven parameters can be easily adjusted, via a passcode, for example to edit or upload menus, enable manual cooking, and adjust the language.  The user can also adjust the master volume – smaller sites will want a quieter beep, while busy kitchens may want a loud alert.

One Touch is Wi-Fi enabled for remote updating and monitoring, which is simple via the Open Kitchen platform.

“The One Touch is a next generation touchscreen interface that redefines ease-of-use,” says David Rees, marketing manager at Taylor UK.  “Because it’s so easy to operate – and difficult to get wrong – it enhances productivity, reduces downtime, and helps operators deliver consistent, high-quality food with unmatched speed.”
