Powerful pic-on-a-drink printer now available from Barista Tech
Barista Tech by Taylor UK is now supplying the powerful Ripple Maker 2 beverage printer. This is an innovative device that can print images onto foam topped drinks and some desserts, allowing operators to tap into the trend for coffee and cocktail art in a flexible and simple to use manner.
The Ripple Maker 2 is a countertop device that uses a plant-based “ink” to print a custom design. As well as foamed coffee drinks it can be used on beer, cocktails and milkshakes, as well as certain desserts such as macarons.
It automatically detects different sizes and shapes of cups, glasses or product placed on it, with the printing process taking only ten seconds. This means it is easy to integrate into the workflow of a busy location. Ripple Maker 2 comes pre-programmed with thousands of royalty free designs, and can be fully customised with the site’s own graphics and logos. Ripple Maker also offers a powerful web app which can be customised for a business, allowing customers to send their own images or designs through their smartphones for a truly unique serve.
Ripple Maker 2 is available in standard and Pro versions. The standard model has the ability to print with just one colour, while the Pro can use two different colours simultaneously, allowing for greater variety. The printing ‘inks’ come in simple to use cartridges and are available in seven vibrant colours, including one that glows under UV light. The inks are tasteless and odourless, gluten free and non-GMO as well as 100% vegan.
With a footprint of just 220mm wide by 327mm deep and 439mm high the Ripple Maker 2 can be run from a standard power socket, making it easy to install and move about as required. It’s ideal for a range of businesses looking to provide a memorable point of difference to their serve.
